Download & Installation

Go to the Download Page. Download either the 32-bit version of XTK or the 64-bit version of XTK and save it onto your computer, and then run the installer.

You will need Administrative Rights to install XTK.

No, unfortunately we are unable to mail installation media.

You can download the installer onto a computer that does have internet access, and then copy it to a USB drive or burn a CD to move to the computer you want to install it on.

No, please do not distribute the XTK installer outside of your organization.

XTK is free to all US Government entities. XTK is available to foreign EOD users for a small per user fee.

Scanning

Not always, in order to scan from XTK you may need to install the drivers or licensed vendor software for your particular scanner.

Please visit our Scanner Driver Page to download some common drivers.

If we do not have the driver for your scanner listed, you may need to contact the manufacturer.

Make sure your scanner drivers have been correctly installed and that you are using good cables.

If you are using a network-based digital panel, you may need to add an exception to the firewall for XTK, contact your IT support.

If you are using a laptop, make sure it is plugged in or that your power management settings are not turning off your USB ports.

Ensure you are getting the exposure you intended.

Check your x-ray generator to make sure it has a good battery and is putting out the dose you expect.

This can happen in some low dose or high ambient light situations.

If you are capturing low-dose images, try scanning them using Low Dose mode in the scanner settings.

Newer versions of XTK include a feature to reduce or remove these borders, you may also try updating XTK to see if that helps.

This can happen when the machine or the films get dirty and they slip while scanning.

Clean your ScanX Scout using the provided cleaning plates, and wipe down all the films.

If this problem persists, contact All-Pro EOD for further recommendations.

For Fast Genie in NOVO XTK plugin, use

  • NOVO XTK plugin version 2.4.3.1 or later (included with the XTK installer)
  • NOVO-TOUCH 1.3.1.5 or later.
